FADED STERN

                           ‘FADED STERN’

The fingers that helped me stand,

The hands that helped me walk,

The shoulders were I stood tall,

The eyes that instructed me,

          His words were my principles,

His directions formed my goals

His rules carved my character,

And, his guidance was my pillar.

The fingers, the hands, the shoulders, the eyes,

have all calmed down ……..

          His eyes are dim,

          His hands are still,

          His shoulders lay down.

He left me,

Nowhere to hold on,

All paths seemed dark and unsafe,

My steps were unstable,

My vision went blurred……

But still,

His words that supported me then,

is supporting me now,

his directions guided me then,

and are guiding me now,

on the base of his trust,

I today stand on my legs.

He stuffed in me his qualities,

That formed my spine for life.

He left me in the vast ocean (life), but

Instilled in me the quality of swimming (character)

Helping to achieve success I thrived for.

          Every penny I earn,

          I owe to him.

          Indebted for,

          indebted to him for my present.

Even today in a corner down,

My heart mourns,

And with tears it says in low,

marketing fundas....

The business puzzle.....

while going through pages of many of my books, novels, magazines, etc i come across various statements that i take a special note of.. i usually take down such "fundas" which i believe would be an appropriate word to used for mumbai's netizens..
i dont know who quoted them ..  some i myself penned down on my judgement of market.. 
 

1>"the superior man knows 'what is right, or which product is right, but the inferior man knows what will sell"
:::# this one got me hooked up, thinking how firms go for high educated people for selecting the products later take opinions of low level retailers to know if their product or similar products is moving in the market..

2> be cunning & rule the world, ' sell a fish to a hungry guy, he will eat it happily; you teach him to fish and there you just  ruined a wonderful business oppurtunity.

3> what is market?
if u havent got thesatisfying answer for this question till date or if you want to get an answer other than the usual answer copy pasted down the ages "market is a place were goods are bought n sold" then just take a note of this one..
" from those according to abilities to those according to their needs, thats market"
so short n to the point...

4> " those who stand as barricades against fashion are themselves its slaves, thats the reason why market always has its puppets"

this one had been penned by me, after reading some of the articles of paper related to some fashion abusers..... that really  had a good unintentional humour hidden....

5>  "no organisation is that big to manage, until you manage to divide it to smaller units of simplicity"
even this was judged  by me after reading a book named  MAVERICK'  which really had a positive feel for me in business,..

6> to manage you need to first command respect, i piss them off who demand...

i dont know who quoted them... but i heared those words from my sir KV NAIR, who himself are an example for this statement... that had a great influence on me...
